As far back as I remember, I always wanted to be a spiked seltzer aficionado.

Drinking has always been a passion of mine. It's been near and dear to my heart since I was just a young man. I still remember the day that I had my first Spiked Seltzer: It was a crisp Autumn evening, October 31st 2015, and my then girlfriend (now wife) Rebecca and I had tickets to a Halloween beer festival in Manhattan.

Beer festivals were all the rage in NYC circa 2010s, and brewers from far and wide would gather their tastiest beverages and join to let boozehounds like me sample their stock. Armed with a shot glass and a dream, I went from booth to booth consuming one shot after another of the latest and greatest brews.

Then, it hit me like a bolt of lightning: A booth with the strangest concoction anyone had ever seen, a "Spiked Seltzer." It was "Bon & Viv," the original spiked seltzer, and this was before the days of White Claw, Truly, and every name brand seltzer hit the market. I remember it was cool, refreshing, flavorful, and had no alcohol taste at all with a fraction of the calories. I recall saying to anyone who would listen, this thing is going to be huge! And the rest was history: Spiked Seltzers hit the block in a tremendous way, and by 2020 Spiked Seltzers were everywhere. You couldn't throw a rock without hitting a Spiked Seltzer. They were at bars, restaurants, BBQs, beaches, parks, concerts, games, shows, and even on the internet.

Ever since that fateful day in 2015, I've been on a journey to drink every Spiked Seltzer that exists, and it became official in April of 2024 by starting the first entry on the Defnotfinitve Spiked Seltzer Review list. For the first time in history, there exists a list of every Spiked Seltzer with a review and quality ranking, so you can be confident that you'll be getting a quality drink before you ever lay your lips on the can of a Spiked Seltzer.
